What is GLOBALG.A.P. (Good Agriculture Practice)?
GLOBALG.A.P. is a production and quality concept, which has been developed in cooperation by European marketing chains and producers in order to ensure traceability, food safety, working environment and quality within the various branches such as: fruit and vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. And now also a new branch: social responsibility (GRASP).

Why become GLOBAG.A.P. certified?
You'll get access to the global market with a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate since GLOBAL.G.A.P. is recognized worldwide and offers a great opportunity for agricultural producers to get their production certified and it counts for both agriculture, horticulture, plant nurseries and Christmas tree productions.

How do you become GLOBALG.A.P. certified?
To become certified, your company must undergo an audit. An audit in which an independent external certificationbody like Baltic Control® Certification performs a total review of the production system. At Baltic Control® Certification, we have a team of experienced and qualified auditors who carry out these audits.

The GLOBALG.A.P. standard focuses on thorough, documented procedures as well as consistent registration of relevant production inputs.

Below are examples of which topics are reviewed during the certification process:

The GLOBALG.A.P. standards are divided into modules, as an example in fruits and vegetables: AL, CB. FV where the following documents are included in this certification process:

  • Documentation and self-control
  • Area and cultivation description
  • Working environment and welfare, training of employees, hygiene management
  • Waste management
  • Environmental protection
  • Complaint handling
  • Traceability, risk assessments
