Due to the increasing focus on animal welfare and sustainability the European fur association Fur Europe has in cooperation with scientists from seven European universities developed the animal welfare program WelFur. As independent certification body Baltic Control® has taken care of the assessments of the fur farms since the beginning of the program 1st of January 2017.

“Baltic Control® has performed extremely well through a challenging task of assessing annually over 3000 fur farms all over Europe and even in other continents.

The professional approach and strict independence of Baltic Control® have been supporting the credibility of the whole WelFur programme. On the other hand Baltic Control®’s flexibility and efficiency in practical matters have made it possible to achieve results with ambitious schedules.”
